We know transitioning into swim lessons can be hard and some kids exhibit anxiety when it comes to the water. While most companies allow parents in the water if their child is under 24 months old, we have extended this allowance for children under 30 months old. If your child is 30 months or younger and you want to get into the water with them this would be a Parent/Tot lesson. For children older than 30 months, we don't allow parents into the water, however, we desire our parents to be as active in their child's lesson as they like i.e watching from the side to encourage and support their child during lessons. View our swim lesson services to find the right lesson for your child.
It's common for children to have a hard time adjusting to being in the water, especially without a parent. The best thing you can do is follow your instructor's guidance. They might ask you to be "out of sight, out of mind" for a few minutes or to encourage your child from the deck. Every child is different. At home, you can help by encouraging kicks, tummy-to-back rolls, and water conditioning with a cup to help your child get used to water on their face.
Yes, Sea Love Swim offers Multiple Swimmer Sessions for 2 or more swimmers. Your instructor will split the lesson time accordingly between the swimmers for private lessons or if your child is 4 or older and has a friend of like age and ability, you may request their lesson be together. Just ask your instructor when they show for your lessons if they are willing to teach your swimmers together. They will evaluate both swimmers and recommend combining or not. We do not offer monetary refunds once a package of lessons has been purchased and the first lesson completed. We do not offer any monetary refunds or credits for lessons that an instructor has given or arrived to complete.
We do however, offer our clients a very flexible reschedule policy where our clients can login and reschedule for any reason up to 12 hours before a lesson at no charge. Package Credits will remain on a clients account for up to 1 year after purchase date.
A successful swim lesson depends on the relationship between the swimmer and the instructor. If you feel your instructor isn't a good fit, you can cancel your bookings with them (at least 12 hours prior) and rebook with a different instructor through our booking flow.
To provide the best swim lesson service, the pool temperature must be at least 78 degrees. The pool water must also be chemically balanced and clean. If an instructor arrives and the pool is colder than 78 degrees or dirty, we reserve the right to deny service and charge for the lesson. For more details, please visit our policy page.
